Phoenix
The Phoenix Order is made up of Apocalypse survivors from deep
underground at Area 51 and various shadow governments. They
blame Earth's destruction on the greed and selfishness of
the other "Spacer" factions. For years, hidden
under the deadly debris clouds that cover the planet, they
have been collecting left over military hardware and modified
it with previously captured alien technology. The conditions
of the atmosphere have made superior shield and scanner
technology a priority. Without warning, they first reclaimed
the Moon in a massive attack on a scale which was not seen
since the arrival of the Dregh'klar Empire. While they still
use Earth as a primary base of operations, the Moon has
become one of their first lines of defense.

Phoenix ('Nix)
Faction Perks
- Strong Ship Shield(1.25)
- Strong Station Shield(1.3)
- Quick turning Y axis (1.5), augmented
by (1.1) ship turn torque, (1.5) ship roll rate and
twice the roll torque.
- Good Sensors(1.1)
- Excellent Missile Track(1.2)
- Great Economy(He3 Yield 1.1, He3 Speed 1.1)
- Extra Missiles
- Transceiver and Assault tech
Faction weakness
- Avg Accel(1.0)
- Weaker Ship Hull(.9)
- Weaker Station Hull(.9)
- Weak Missiles(.95)
- No Nannite's (piloted ships can
not be repaired with a nanite gun)
- 3 minute research time
Faction Specific Tech
- Assault Shields
- An incredibly powerful shield mounted on Bombers
and HTT's. Requires the equivalent version of Medium
Shield.
- Transceiver
- The key to unlocking a great deal of special tech.
A base that generates 180 credits per min, that you
may launch from, rip to, but not dock at. Requires
Garrison.
- Vanguard - A
powerful single pilot version of GT's Mustang. Comes
with Dual Mini AC/LC, 15 MRM's class missiles, and
regular booster. Requires Gunship, Transceiver.
- Vulcan Cannon
- An extremely powerful weapon mountable on almost
everything, including turrets. Uses massive amounts
of both energy and ammo making it less than economical
for long term whoring. Requires Gatt2, Sniper1, Transceiver
for Vulcan 1; Gatt3, Sniper2, Transceiver for Vulcan2.
- Laser Cannon
- A powerful energy turret. Laser cannon can rip apart
almost any small, or medium class ship without problem.
Ideal for both Heavy Bomber and HTT runs. Requires
AC2, Sniper1, Transceiver for Laser Cannon 1; AC3,
Sniper2, Transceiver for Laser Cannon2.
- Attack Drones
- Simple AI powered drones for each tech path, including
heavy scouts. Requires Transceiver, Adv Tech base,
the applicable Adv Ship for each drone.
- Laser Blossom
- Ideal for anti-capital ship. Laser blossoms shoot
out huge streams of seemingly random lasers, doing
damage dependent on how close and how large the enemy
ship is(the more lasers hitting the more damage).
Mountable on SF's, Scouts, Vanguards, Gunships, and
a few other things. Requires Prox2, Sniper1, Transceiver
for Laser Blossom 1; Prox3, Sniper2, Transceiver for
Laser Blossom 2.
- Nova Bomb Drone-
A mobile bomb drone capable of destroying bases, capital
ships, and asteroids in one blow. Damage is finite,
and limited to a 3K range(getting weaker the further
you are away from it). Works best placed directly
next to the intended target. Requires Heavy Class
Drydock, Transceiver.
Ideal Settings
- Because of Phoenix's excellent mining speed and
yield it can survive and compete with factions like
Belters on low money settings, and excel with factions
like Rixian Unity and Giga Corp. on high money settings.
Faction Strategies
- Shields - Before we go into tactics,
Phoenix piloted ship's cannot be Nanned, so therefor
it's shields are incredibly powerful. This Faction
has the strongest shields and weakest hulls. This
does not make them invincible, so going through
camped aleph's is still suicidal with any level
of tech. Deprobing is extremely critical, and even
if you can't Nan, one ship to push a bomber or HTT
will make a world of a difference.
- Bomb Rush
- Phoenix's bomber rush is different than other factions
because instead of having the entire team in Nan's,
nanning one bomber, you get the entire team in bombers
and turrets. As specified above, a pusher and a deprober
is a must because if you are spotted you can still
get taken down by a camped Dis1 and proxed aleph.
- Shipyard Rush - Phoenix does not
need to buy a tech base to get a shipyard or any of it's tech.
This allows a quick and powerful shipyard rush, just as so
long as the miners survive. The drawback to this strat is that
it takes a bit longer for Phoenix to research tech, leaving
you with basic tech for a while, during that time you can
loose miners or die to a bomb rush.
- Common Tactic Phoenix is not
limited to it's extra tech. It can do TAC, EXP,
and SUP just as good as any other faction, perhaps
with more emphasis on deprobing, to utilize the
powerful shields.
